ISLA.MUJERES, 18 DE MAYO DE 2023.- Las tortugas marinas son especies emblem\u00e1ticas para las y los isle\u00f1os, por eso la presidenta municipal, Atenea G\u00f3mez Ricalde, apuesta por la protecci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n de estos quelonios que se encuentran en peligro de extinci\u00f3n.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La temporada dio inicio el pasado 15 de mayo y concluir\u00e1 al 15 de Octubre,  \u00e9poca en el que las autoridades de los tres \u00f3rdenes Gobierno, asociaciones civiles e iniciativa privada, trabajan de manera coordinada en diversas actividades para fomentar el cuidado de las cuatro especies de tortuga marina que arriban a las costas del Caribe mexicano.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoy qued\u00f3 instalado el Comit\u00e9  municipal del programa de protecci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n de las tortugas marinas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante este tiempo se velar\u00e1n las anidaciones de las tortugas carey (Eretmochelys), la blanca (Chelonia Mydas), la caguama (Caretta caretta) y la la\u00fad (Dermohelys Coriacea) que es la m\u00e1s grande del mundo, y a pesar que es de las que menos llega a nuestras costas, deja de ser menos importante el cuidado de sus huevos.<\/span><\/p>\n

La alcaldesa agradeci\u00f3 de coraz\u00f3n a las y los isle\u00f1os que participar\u00e1n en el<\/span><\/p>\n

programa de empleo temporal, as\u00ed como a los j\u00f3venes voluntarios que forman parte del Campamento Tortuguero en Isla Mujeres.<\/span><\/p>\n

A ellos se les hicieron entrega de playeras y kits para que puedan realizar su labor de vigilar y resguardar la mayor cantidad de nidos. <\/span><\/p>\n

Las tortugas marinas <\/span><\/p>\n
