Como cada a\u00f1o, en una emotiva ceremonia, el Gobierno Municipal de Isla Mujeres conmemor\u00f3 el 218 Aniversario del Natalicio de Benito Ju\u00e1rez, en el monumento del Benem\u00e9rito de las Am\u00e9ricas, que se ubica en la Zona Insular del municipio.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Durante la ceremonia, que se realiz\u00f3 con la finalidad de promover los valores c\u00edvicos y rendirle honor al ex Presidente de M\u00e9xico que naci\u00f3 el 21 de marzo de 1806 en San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca, fueron reconocidos sus logros durante su carrera pol\u00edtica, al ser el primer Presidente de M\u00e9xico ind\u00edgena ocupando el cargo de 1858 a 1872. Posteriormente, las autoridades municipales asistentes depositaron la ofrenda floral en el Monumento a Benito Ju\u00e1rez.<\/span><\/p>

El Secretario General, Hugo Iv\u00e1n S\u00e1nchez Montalvo, quien asisti\u00f3 en representaci\u00f3n del Ayuntamiento de Isla Mujeres, exhort\u00f3 a la comunidad isle\u00f1a a seguir construyendo una sociedad de paz, para continuar con el gran legado de Benito Ju\u00e1rez, recordando su frase c\u00e9lebre \u201cEl respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

El Benem\u00e9rito de las Am\u00e9ricas, estudi\u00f3 Derecho y se interes\u00f3 por la pol\u00edtica liberal, descubriendo que exist\u00eda un fuerte v\u00ednculo entre el liberalismo y nacionalismo, liderando una reforma pol\u00edtica y social liberal llamada La Reforma. Fue uno de los grandes protectores de la justicia social y la soberan\u00eda mexicana, al promover la Reforma Agraria, la Libertad de Prensa, y promulgar leyes que separaban a la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica del poder gubernamental.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
