Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, 24 de enero de 2026.- La Presidenta Municipal, Atenea G\u00f3mez Ricalde, recibi\u00f3 en la ciudad de Madrid, Espa\u00f1a, la placa de reconocimiento Queer Destinations durante la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR 2026), en el Pabell\u00f3n del Caribe Mexicano.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Con esta distinci\u00f3n, el destino reafirma su compromiso con la inclusi\u00f3n, la diversidad y el respeto a los derechos humanos, valores que consolidan la estrategia para fortalecer el posicionamiento de Isla Mujeres en el mercado internacional. Cabe destacar que Isla Mujeres es de los primeros municipios en obtener esta certificaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>

La placa Queer Destinations acredita a Isla Mujeres como un espacio comprometido con buenas pr\u00e1cticas en la atenci\u00f3n al turismo LGBTQ+, lo que permite proyectar una imagen de destino seguro, abierto y competitivo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cEn Isla Mujeres la diversidad nos une y el respeto nos hace crecer. La inclusi\u00f3n no es un discurso, es una forma de gobernar y de atender a quienes nos visitan\u201d, destac\u00f3 la Presidenta Municipal.<\/span><\/p>

Atenea G\u00f3mez, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que este reconocimiento representa el resultado de un trabajo conjunto entre gobierno y sociedad, reiterando que el turismo moderno exige respeto y trato digno para todas las personas.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cEste distintivo es una muestra de que Isla Mujeres avanza con paso firme hacia un turismo donde todas las personas son bienvenidas y respetadas\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>
